Description.

The MS46522B is a family of dual-port, high-performance ShockLine vector network analyzers. This high performance series offers unsurpassed value and performance, providing best-in-class dynamic range, reducing test costs and accelerating time to market in a wide range of test applications (up to 92 GHz). These test applications include the design and manufacture of mobile networking equipment, mobile devices, automotive cables, high-speed data interconnects, and system integration components.

The MS46522B configuration option 10, option 20, or option 43 brings measurement capabilities from RF to microwave frequencies to the ShockLine family. These frequency options, combined with the powerful ShockLine software, provide a challenging and cost effective solution for passive device testing. Option 82 is the E-band frequency option for the 2-port MS46522B. It offers market-leading, economical E-band millimeter wave measurement capabilities. For applications requiring only the E-band frequency range, the new 500B series of 55-92 GHz millimeter wave options is the best value, mass-produced E-band component solution on the market today. For applications requiring time domain analysis, both Option 2 and Option 22 are available. Option 2 enables the MS46522B to provide real-time bandpass and low-pass time domain capabilities. The low-pass time domain has a test data report that shows the actual impedance over distance or time. Option 22 provides the MS46522B with file-based signal integrity (SI) tools to debug SI issues and verify circuit models. additional options can be added to the MS46522B-010 VNA. Options 51 and 61, the source and receiver access loop and bias section options, respectively, give maximum flexibility for customizing test setups. The receiver access loop improves the background noise of the instrument, reduces the receiver compression point, and allows DUT testing with high dynamic range requirements. The bias section provides a DC power interface for testing devices that require DC bias during testing.

The MS46522B series comes in a 3U chassis package and uses the same GUI, software, command syntax, drivers, and programming environment as the ShockLine series.

Application Areas.

Miniature coaxial RF connectors, antennas, switches, duplexers, UE front-end modules, RF (FAKRA) connectors, driver assistance radar, RF and microwave passive component testing and troubleshooting, system calibration, path loss characterization, general S-parameter and time-domain measurements, wireless power transmission applications, optoelectronic & electro-optical applications
