The Keysight N7714A is a signal source ideally suited to serve as a real-world load for the latest emission systems. It combines four independently tunable laser sources in one, is half the width of 19 inches, is only 1U high, and offers a choice of C- and L-band channel configurations.

  • Model: N7714A

  • Name: 4-port tunable laser source system

  • Brand:KEYSIGHT

  • Category: General Electronics Test > Adjustable Laser Source System

  • Product attributes: Mainframe

Features

  • Seamless wavelength coverage: new option 3xx bridges the wavelength gap between C- and L-band channels

  • Compact instrument with four ports, half the width of 19 inches and only 1U high

  • Flexible configuration between C-band and L-band channels

  • Adjustable to any wavelength raster (ITU-T 100 GHz, 50 GHz, 25 GHz and any raster)

  • Narrow linewidths of less than 100 kHz and bias grid tuning over ±6 GHz make it ideal for coherent mixing applications and new complex modulation regimes

  • Output power up to +15 dBm with 6 dB power tuning range

  • Equipped with Panda Polarizing Fiber

The Keysight N7711A and N7714A tunable laser sources come with a single port and four ports, respectively, and are available in either the C-band or L-band wavelength ranges. With narrow linewidths and fine-tunable bias grids, they are ideal for testing the real-world load performance of the latest emission systems. As with all other Yestech tunable laser sources, all models can reach any wavelength point in their specified wavelength range.

In this mode, they are code-compatible with existing test systems based on Yestech's full-size and compact series of tunable laser sources, which undoubtedly provides customers with great convenience and significant savings. In systems loaded with application software, the laser source (e.g. system transmitter) is best tuned to the grid by changing the channel index. The channel raster can be tuned to a standard ITU-T raster (50 GHz spacing, etc.) or to an arbitrary raster. The zero frequency (base channel) of the selected grid can also be adjusted. The 12 GHz trim range allows for detuning frequencies.
