Easy-to-use graphical software for real-time display of results
Applications
Laser Diode PMF Pigtailing Supports the alignment of bias-preserving fibres during pigtailing by displaying polarisation extinction ratio (PER) and optical power in real time.
PMF fusion For alignment during fusion splicing of a bias-preserving fibre, the Keysight N7782B displays the optical power and angular deviation of the two fibres in real time.
Characterisation of PM components Measurement of PER of bias-preserving components (e.g. fibre polarisers, PMF couplers, PMF splitters, etc.).
Characterise PMF cross coupling Measure and display polarisation crosstalk in a polarisation preserving fibre as PER
The Keysight N7782B Series PER Analyzers are designed for high-speed and accurate testing of PER in bias-preserving optical fibres. The polarisation measurement principle ensures reliable measurements of PER values up to 50 dB.
The real-time measurement function combined with an automatic interface makes this device particularly suitable for integration in manufacturing systems such as pigtail fusion splicing of laser diode and planar waveguide components. It also offers an analogue interface for system integration in control loop applications.
