The best-selling Keysight N7744A optical power meter with four power probe channels provides increased throughput and efficiency to meet today's manufacturing challenges. Designed to characterize multi-port optical devices, these optical power meters provide industry-leading solutions for device connectivity, high-speed measurement data acquisition, and fast data transfer for post-processing. The multi-port power meters provide a fast measurement solution for all multi-port devices such as multiplexers, PON splitters, wavelength selective switches (WSS) and ROADMs, as well as compact test sets for testing multiple single-port devices simultaneously.
The N7744A power meter saves channel space, which is an industry first. This feature is further enhanced by the ability to integrate multiple devices into a single setup through parallel programming of LAN or USB connections.
The multi-port power meter was developed using LXI technology and is compliant with LXI Class C standards. LXI stands for LAN eXtension for Instrumentation, which provides an instrumentation standard for devices that use Ethernet (LAN) as their primary communication interface. As such, it is an easy-to-connect instrument with an integrated web browser that provides easy configuration of instrument functions.
The new power meter incorporates the unprecedented N7740 fiber optic connectivity concept of a four-core cable adapter with a flexible snap-in quick-lock mechanism. The device under test can be easily connected to the four-core cable adapter even when the instrument is measuring other devices. The four-core cable adapter can then be quickly locked, providing a highly precise connection that can be connected and disconnected repeatedly. With the four-core cable adapter, you can align the connector keys more simply, especially for rack-mounted instruments, and more easily connect the ports in the desired order, avoiding connection errors or connector damage.
