Keysight 81634B optical power sensors are ideally suited for accurate power measurements on fiber optic devices. These modular sensors can be installed in all Keysight 816x optical wave hosts and can be used individually or in multiple combinations to perform parallel measurements on multi-channel devices. Input fibers can be easily connected using a flexible connector adapter or bare fiber adapter from Keysight
This module can run a variety of measurement applications, such as data logging, stability testing, and recording minimum and maximum values at different times. The trigger synchronization capability with the tunable laser source module allows you to perform powerful spectral measurements - with higher resolution and better polarization correlation - enabling cost-effective and time-saving multi-channel expansion. The module can record up to 20,000 samples with an average time of up to 100 µs.
Benefits.
Low measurement uncertainty for power and PDL, so your component test margins are very small.
Excellent traceability allows you to meet internationally recognized standards of measurement uncertainty.
This light detector design is equipped with a thermally stable gas-tight detector behind the glass window, allowing consistent measurement results independent of the surrounding environment (e.g. humidity, dust and temperature).
A comprehensive sampling and triggering concept (hardware trigger line, filtering, event triggering, hardware timer, analog output) is used, giving you the flexibility to adapt the power meter to changing test requirements.
