The Keysight 81636B general-purpose optical power sensor is ideal for accurate power measurements on fiber optic devices. This modular sensor is suitable for use with a variety of Keysight 816x optical waveform hosts, either individually or in multiple combinations to measure multi-channel devices in parallel. Output fibers can be easily connected using a flexible connector adapter or bare fiber adapter from Yestech.
This module can run a variety of measurement applications, such as data logging, stability testing, and recording minimum and maximum values at different times. The trigger synchronization capability with the tunable laser source module allows you to perform powerful spectral measurements - with higher resolution and better polarization correlation - enabling cost-effective and time-saving multi-channel expansion. The module can record up to 100,000 samples with average times as short as 25 µs. The 17 kHz analog bandwidth supports fast, distortion-free recording, and the analog output can be used to perform real-time oscilloscope measurements.
Benefits.
Short averaging times and wide bandwidth allow it to acquire up to 100,000 samples, providing distortion-free, high-resolution spectra at high scan speeds, even on narrow filters.
NIST and PTB traceability gives you internationally recognized standards for measurement uncertainty.
The instrument incorporates a comprehensive sampling and triggering concept (hardware trigger line, filtering, event triggering, hardware timer, analog output), allowing the power meter to be flexible to meet changing test requirements and easily integrated into a variety of applications.
