The R&S®ZNL uses a unique option concept that helps reduce investment costs. The basic model supports a frequency range of 5 kHz to 20 GHz, and the 6 GHz model can be expanded to feature a fully integrated spectrum analyzer and support for RF power meters. In addition, the spectrum analysis function supports the continuous wave signal generator option. Instead of purchasing multiple instruments, research labs, repair centers, universities and manufacturing plants can achieve faster measurements and higher RF performance than comparable dedicated instruments with a single compact R&S®ZNL.

With a depth of less than 24 cm and a weight of only 6 kg to 8 kg, the R&S®ZNL is the most compact in its class. The compact size of the R&S®ZNL allows for significant bench space savings compared to other benchtop analyzers in its class.

The R&S®ZNL 6 GHz model is equipped with a spectrum analyzer option that provides the functionality of a different instrument in the same compact size, thus saving even more space. the R&S®FPL1-K9 option adds support for the R&S®NRP power probe and the R&S®ZNL-K14 option adds a stand-alone continuous wave signal generator, making the R&S®ZNL a versatile analyzer.

The R&S®ZNL is available with a battery pack option and is designed to be fully portable, making it ideal for field applications. An optional 12 V/24 V DC power supply is available for use of the R&S®ZNL in vehicles. the R&S®FPL1-Z2 carrying case option protects the instrument from damage and ingress of dirt during transport and field deployment. Side vents and a clear top cover are designed for portable operation and ensure that the instrument is stored safely inside the bag. The analyzer is also available in a portable undershirt holster.
