Description.


The BERTWave MP2110A is an all-in-one measurement instrument with a built-in bit error rate tester (BERT) and sampling oscilloscope that supports evaluation operations such as bit error rate (BER) measurement of optical modules, eye diagram template testing, and eye diagram analysis.


In order to evaluate optical modules used in optical communication systems, BERT and sampling oscilloscopes are required. With the all-in-one BERTWave MP2110A, which has a built-in 4-channel BERT and 4-channel sampling oscilloscope, there is no need to use a separate instrument, thus reducing instrumentation capital and production costs.


Moreover, the BERTWave MP2110A not only measures BER of up to 4 channels simultaneously on the RX side of the optical module, but also performs eye diagram template testing and eye diagram analysis of up to 4 channels simultaneously on the Tx side. In addition, the MP2110A sampling oscilloscope has a sampling rate of up to 250,000 samples/second, allowing for faster eye diagram template testing and eye diagram analysis. With the BERTWave MP2110A, BER measurements and eye diagram analysis can be performed simultaneously, resulting in much shorter measurement times.


The MP2110A BERT can measure bit rates from 24.3 Gb/s to 28.2 Gb/s in standard configuration and 9.5 Gb/s to 14.2 Gb/s with the Opt-093 installed. The built-in sampling oscilloscope supports bandwidths of 40 GHz (electrical interface), 35 GHz (SMF, optical interface) and 25 GHz (MMF, optical interface). In addition, the sampling oscilloscope comes standard with a built-in Bessel filter in the 100 Gb/s band for measuring optical signals.


The superior performance helps ensure increased yields of optical modules. Moreover, simplified setup and an easy-to-use user interface make the MP2110A easy to operate; backward compatibility with the remote commands of the 10G BER oscilloscope 2-in-1 instrument MP2100B ensures hassle-free instrument upgrades. In addition, the built-in PC brings stable operation to ensure excellent performance in any operating environment. 


BERTWave MP2110A is equipped with multi-channel BERT, sampling oscilloscope, high-speed eye diagram analysis and stencil margin measurement, so it can improve the production efficiency of optical modules and reduce production costs.
