Yokogawa Test & Measurement announces the release of the AQ6370E Spectrum Analyzer on June 26, 2023.The AQ6370E is an upgraded version of the AQ6370D, with the new model offering enhanced performance and user maneuverability.Equally suited for use in industry, universities, and research institutions, the AQ6370E is designed to test a wide range of components including lasers, optical transceivers, and optical amplifiers for optical communications.
Yokogawa's AQ6370D spectrum analyzer has been widely used for product development and production testing since its release in 2014. The newly released AQ6370E offers a variety of new functions and features to streamline development and production processes.
Differences between AQ6370D and AQ6370E
Measurement speed
The AQ6370E has a faster measurement speed of 0.2 sec/100nm, which is twice as fast as the AQ6370D. This means that the AQ6370E can accomplish more measurement tasks in less time, increasing work efficiency.
Measurement Modes
The AQ6370E has a new measurement mode called HCDR (High Near Peak Dynamic Range) mode, which enables sharper spectral curves and clearer side modes for single longitudinal mode laser measurements. The HCDR mode improves the near-peak dynamic range up to 70 dB (typical) without affecting the measurement speed. The AQ6370D doesn't have this mode, and can only be used in normal mode or Large Dynamic Measurement Mode, the latter of which reduces measurement speed.
Stray Light Rejection
The AQ6370E has a higher stray light rejection of 80 dB (typical), eliminating the need to use the Large Dynamic measurement mode, which reduces measurement time, while the AQ6370D has a stray light rejection of 60 dB (typical), and requires the use of the Large Dynamic measurement mode to reach 80 dB, at the expense of measurement speed.
A new LCD touch screen has been added, and the AQ6370E has a touch screen to make daily operation of the analyzer easier and more intuitive.
