Applications of the BERTWave MP2100B 

Simultaneous BER and waveform measurements to reduce test time


Data centers are deploying multi-channel optical modules such as QSFP+ to cope with the rapid growth of data traffic. With the built-in 4-channel BERT, the MP2100B supports simultaneous measurements on all QSFP+ channels. In addition, the built-in BERT and oscilloscope make it possible to monitor waveforms while performing BER measurements, cutting test time by nearly half.


Reduce analysis time with automatic waveform measurement


Key parameters such as Tr/Tf and jitter can be measured automatically, providing a clear understanding of waveform performance. Template margin pass/fail evaluation results are displayed along with margin data such as BER. These automated measurements play a critical role in reducing waveform quality analysis time.


Higher throughput due to high-quality PPGs and high-sensitivity EDs


Accurate testing of DUT characteristics must avoid degradation of DUT characteristics due to the performance of the measurement instrument.


The MP2100B PPG outputs high-quality signals with a Tr/Tf of 24 ps and a jitter of 1 ps. In addition, the ED input sensitivity is as high as 10 mVp-po per minute, and its excellent performance contributes to improved DUT yields.
