Keysight Introduces Next-Generation DCA Equivalent Time Sampling Oscilloscopes


Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE KEYS) today announced a new generation of DCA Equivalent Time Sampling (ETS) oscilloscopes that provide greater measurement accuracy and efficiency for high-speed digital designs. DCA ETS oscilloscopes, also known as digital communications analyzers (DCAs), display and analyze the analog attributes of high-speed signals used in data centers and wired telecommunications applications. DCA Equivalent Time Sampling Oscilloscopes, also known as Digital Communications Analyzers (DCA), display and analyze the analog properties of high-speed signals used in data center and wireline telecom applications.

The new generation of DCA Equivalent Time Sampling Oscilloscopes includes the DCA-X and DCA-M series for R&D and manufacturing environments, respectively.The DCA-X series is a modular instrument that can be configured as a host computer with a variety of plug-in modules to perform accurate optical communications, electrical, and time-domain reflectance/transmission (TDR/TDT) measurements.The DCA-X series offers bandwidths of up to 110 GHz. Jitter as low as 50 fs, noise as low as 275 µV, and sample rates up to 250 kSa/s.


The DCA-M series is a fully integrated instrument that combines optical communications, electrical and/or CDR functionality into a compact form factor.The DCA-M series features up to 16 channels for high test throughput.The DCA-M series also supports a wide range of compliance test applications and accessories to meet the needs of optical communications, wireline telecom, and data centers, among others.
