The AQ6377 is a benchtop analyser that uses dispersive spectroscopy to measure laser spectra in the 1.9-5.5μm wavelength range with high accuracy, wide dynamic range and high resolution.
A spectral analyser is a measurement instrument that analyses the wavelength components of photonic devices such as semiconductor lasers and fibre lasers to evaluate their wavelength characteristics. The AQ6377 can be used to enhance the performance of optics in the 5 μm wavelength band and to facilitate their accelerated application in environmental measurements and other fields.
With 73 dB of power dynamic range and 50 dB of near-range dynamic range, the AQ6377 is 2000 times greater in power dynamic range and 10 times greater in near-range dynamic range than interferometer-type instruments operating in the 5-μm band, and is capable of evaluating side-mode rejection ratios of semiconductor lasers, with no other high-performance device of its kind on the market.
The AQ6377 has two additional features, one of which is the elimination of water vapour from the spectrometer, thus removing the water vapour absorption peaks generated at specific wavelengths. The second is the elimination of the effects of higher-order diffracted light (a phenomenon inherent in all spectrometers, which produces a spectrum with a wavelength two to three times longer than the wavelength of the incident light).
