These high-performance and low-priced multimeter series include three models: the 61/2-bit digital multimeter 7461A, the 61/2-bit digital multimeter with temperature measurement 7461P, and the 51/2-bit digital multimeter 7451A.
These multimeters achieve high-speed sampling performance with selective sampling mode by using newly developed A/D converters to support a variety of applications, including digitization of pulse signals to record measurement results at regular time intervals.
As an additional feature, the integration time can be set to any value. This allows the correct measurement of the average value of the pulse current/voltage. In addition, the 7461P is capable of temperature measurements with a resolution of 0.001 °C using a PT sensor.
In addition, these multimeters offer dual-channel DC voltage measurements (Bch 10 V range fixed), thus allowing the use of low-cost measurement system architectures.
With the newly developed variable integration time A/D converter, the 7461A or 7461P and 7451A achieve maximum sampling rates of 20,000 readings per second and 5,000 readings per second, respectively, at 31/2-bit resolution. The 7461A or 7461P sampling interval can be set from 50 μs to 3,600 s, and the 7451A sampling interval can be set from 200 μs to 3,600 s, enabling high-speed digitization and data logging at precise measurement intervals.
