The HP / Agilent 81634A / 81634B optical power sensors are designed for spectral ripple and low PDL measurements of optical components.
Agilent optical power sensors are the right choice for accurate power measurements on fiber optic devices. The modular sensor fits all Agilent 816x optical wave hosts and can be used individually or multiple times for parallel measurements on multi-channel devices. Output fibers can be easily connected using Agilent's flexible connector adapters or bare fiber adapters.
The modules feature a wide wavelength range of calibration and each module can store up to 100,000 samples and run measurement applications such as data logging, stability, and recording of minimum and maximum values over time. Trigger synchronization with tunable laser modules enables robust spectral measurements with higher resolution, better polarization dependence, and cost- and time-efficient multi-channel scalability compared to broadband light source and spectrum analyzer setups.
