Signal analysis: fast access to results (small signal details present in large signals can be viewed)
The R&S®RTM3000 uses a 10-bit analog-to-digital converter designed by Rohde & Schwarz, which offers a 4x improvement in accuracy compared to conventional 8-bit analog-to-digital converters. The higher the resolution, the clearer the waveform, which in turn reveals more details of the signal that might otherwise be missed. For example, when measuring the characteristics of a switching power supply, it is necessary to measure the voltage when the switching device is turned on and off at the same time in a single capture.
Segmented storage (40 Msample (standard); 80 Msample (interleaved mode))
The R&S®RTM3000 offers best-in-class storage depth: up to 40 Msample per channel and up to 80 Msample in interleave mode. eight times the storage depth of comparable oscilloscopes. Users can even capture longer acquisition sequences at high sampling rates for more detailed analysis, such as analyzing the transient response of switching power supplies.
Longer acquisition time at full bandwidth (segmented storage: 400 Msample with history function)
The R&S®RTM-K15 option with deep segmented storage enables analysis of signal sequences with long observation times. Protocol signals with communication intervals (e.g. I²C or SPI) can be captured in seconds or minutes. Due to the adjustable segment length, the storage depth of 400 Msample can be optimally utilized. In history mode, all acquired waveforms in the 400 Msample's maximum segmented memory can be recalled and analyzed.
Logic analysis with mixed-signal oscilloscope option (16 additional digital channels)
With the R&S®RTM-B1 option, the R&S®RTM3000 can be upgraded to a mixed-signal oscilloscope with 16 additional digital channels and intuitive operation. The oscilloscope can simultaneously capture and analyze analog and digital signals from embedded designs. For example, delays between analog-to-digital converter inputs and outputs can be easily determined using cursor measurements.
Waveform and code pattern generator (generates analog and digital excitation)
With data rates of up to 50 Mbit/s, the R&S®RTM-B6 waveform and code pattern generator is suitable for education as well as hardware prototyping. In addition to the usual sine, square/pulse, ramp and noise waveforms, the generator can output arbitrary waveforms as well as 4-bit signal code patterns. Waveforms and code patterns can be imported as CSV files or copied from the oscilloscope waveform. Predefined code patterns such as I2C, SPI, UART, and CAN/LIN can be used.
The R&S®RTM3000 is a "power of ten", combining a 10-bit ADC, 10x memory and 10.1" touch screen with a probe interface for all Rohde & Schwarz probes, making it ideal for solving everyday debugging problems.
