The BERTWave MP2110A is an all-in-one measurement instrument with a built-in Bit Error Rate Tester (BERT) and a sampling oscilloscope, which supports evaluation operations such as Bit Error Rate (BER) measurements, eye diagram template tests, and eye diagram analysis of optical modules.
The BERT and sampling oscilloscope are required to evaluate optical modules used in optical communication systems. The all-in-one BERTWave MP2110A with built-in 4-channel BERT and 4-channel sampling oscilloscope eliminates the need for a separate instrument, thus reducing instrument investment capital and production costs. Furthermore, the BERTWave MP2110A not only measures the BER of up to four channels simultaneously on the RX side of the optical module, but also performs eye diagram template testing and eye diagram analysis of up to four channels simultaneously on the Tx side. In addition, the MP2110A sampling oscilloscope's sampling rate of up to 250,000 samples/second enables faster eye diagram template testing and eye diagram analysis. With the BERTWave MP2110A, BER measurements and eye chart analysis can be performed at the same time, resulting in a significant reduction in measurement time.
The MP2110A BERT measures bit rates from 24.3 Gb/s to 28.2 Gb/s in its standard configuration, and from 9.5 Gb/s to 14.2 Gb/s with the Opt-093 installed. The built-in sampling oscilloscope supports bandwidths of 40 GHz (electrical interface), 35 GHz (SMF, optical interface), and 25 GHz (MMF, optical interface). In addition, the sampling oscilloscope comes standard with built-in Bessel filters for the 100 Gb/s band and optional 10GE (LAN & WAN) digital filters for measuring optical signals. The excellent performance helps to ensure higher throughput of optical modules. Simplified setup and user interface make the MP2110A easy to operate, and backward compatibility with the MP2100B's remote commands ensures hassle-free instrument upgrades.
In addition, the stable operation of the built-in PC ensures excellent performance in any operating environment.
