Industry news, recently Minister of Industry and Information Technology Jin Zhuanglong said at the China-Africa Digital Capacity Building Cooperation Forum that China has strengthened the construction of digital and information and communication network infrastructure, and has built the world's largest and technologically leading fibre-optic and mobile communication network. Among them, the average annual growth rate of the scale of data centres has reached nearly 30 per cent in the past five years.
In recent years, China's in-depth implementation of universal telecommunication services, and promote the accelerated integration of digital technology and the real economy. New industries and modes such as e-commerce, telemedicine and digital agriculture are developing actively, injecting new momentum into economic growth. At the same time, international cooperation in the digital field has been deepening, and we have signed memorandums of understanding on digital cooperation with more than a dozen African countries.
Benefiting from the strategy of "East Counts, West Counts" and "New Infrastructure", as well as the continuously rising Internet traffic, the scale of China's data centre construction and the total volume of business have continued to grow. Since the launch of the project, eight national hub nodes of computing network (Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Chengdu-Chongqing, Inner Mongolia, Guizhou, Gansu, Ningxia) have started to build national hub nodes of computing power, and 10 national data centre clusters have been planned.
According to the China Data Centre Services Market Tracking Report released by IDC in August this year, China's data centre services market grew by 12.7% year-on-year last year, with a market size of RMB 129.35 billion. It is expected that China's data centre services market will continue to grow at a compound growth rate of 18.9% in the next five years, and the market size will reach RMB 307.5 billion by 2027.
